「日常」を知っていますか？

 みなさん、こんにちは。今日、私が好きなマンガについて話したいです。

日常(にちじょう)というマンガはあらゐけいいち(Arawi Keiichi)によって書かれました。マンガの名前の意味は「My Ordinary Life」けど、たくさんシーンはordinaryじゃないから、びっくりしました。

私は中学生の時、日常を見つけました。私の最初読んでいたマンガです。日常のアニメもありますけど、みじかいビデオしか見ませんでした。でも、見ている時、笑いました。

I think that Nichijou was one of the works that got me interested in learning more about manga/anime.  I remember seeing an ad for it in a book I had read at the library, so I ended up reading all 10 of the original volumes.  I initially expected it to be a very slice-of-life type of manga, but even though you do get some slice-of-life, it is very comedy-focused, which was a pleasant surprise.  After a long hiatus, the 11th volume was released fairly recently, but I have not been able to read it yet.  I've watched some segments from the anime, and it was funny to see some of the iconic scenes from the manga animated.  I think it would be nice to try to read the manga in Japanese and see what I can read/recall from reading the English translation a while ago.
